General information.


Advanced graduate students worldwide whose research extends beyond a single-country site are encouraged to submit to the WERA Focal Meeting. Proposals may be submitted to be presented at paper sessions or poster sessions.The working language of the Focal Meeting is English. The deadline to submit is 15 January 2020; 23:59 Spanish time. What is a conference paper?


A Conference Paper is a presentation that last 15 – 20 minutes, plus some time for questions. They will be scheduled in 90 minute sessions which will normally include 3 papers on similar themes, in exceptional cases, 4 papers may be combined.


A paper is submitted by one author plus up to 5 co-authors; 2 of the 6 authors can be listed as presenting authors. The submission consists of an abstract, an introduction, a methods section, conclusions plus references.


What is a conference poster?


Posters are graphical presentations which are submitted by one author plus up to 5 co-authors where 2 of the 6 authors can be listed as presenting authors. Posters must be printed in A1 size (594 x841 mm/ 23.3 x33.1 in) in portrait/upright format. A Conference Poster should last between 5-10 minutes. The submission consists of an abstract, an introduction, a methods section, conclusions plus references.

As a part of the sociocultural program of the Conference participants are invited to the following activities:

  • Activity 1: A stage of the “Camino de Santiago”. Stage 1: Concubión-Finisterre. Saturday, July

  • Activity 2: A stage of the “Camino de Santiago”. Stage 2: Monte do Gozo-Santiago de Compostela (Cathedral). Sunday, July 5th.

  • Activity 3: Solidarity act together with the Galician Health Service
